Finding my GRRUV

I left home at 19 for a relationship I thought was love.
By 23 and 24, I was a mother of two.
I’ve slept in cars, showers, and strangers’ homes with my babies in my arms.

In 2021, I was battling silently in a relationship that had turned toxic — emotionally, mentally, and eventually, physically. For months, I stayed. Not because I didn’t know better, but because I didn’t feel like I had anywhere else to go. I didn’t feel seen, or heard, or protected.

One night, everything snapped. I ended up in jail — just for a night, but that night changed everything.

I’ve already become the woman it taught me to be.
I’m not ashamed. I’m not hiding.
I’ve healed. I’ve grown. I’m leading with love — for myself, my daughters, my husband, and every woman who needs to see that freedom is possible.

I’ve worked without childcare, without support, without stability.
I was emotionally okay until “okay” wasn’t enough.

The men I trusted failed me. The system didn’t save me.
But something greater — a vision, a promise, a whisper from God — kept me moving.

This is how I got my GRRUV back. How I Got My GRRUV Back

From Shelters to Los Angeles — This Is My Comeback Story

I didn’t just wake up one day and find my GRRUV. I fought for it. Through pain, through heartbreak, through seasons of survival where I had to put on a brave face for my daughters, I kept going. From bouncing between cities like Tallahassee, Orlando, and Jacksonville — and even nights spent in shelters — I experienced the type of struggle that humbles you and fuels your fight.

Los Angeles wasn’t just a move. It was my breakthrough. It gave me the space to dream again, to build something of my own, and to finally breathe. I created Her GRRUV not just as a brand — but as a movement. A reminder to every woman who’s ever felt lost or overlooked that you can rise again, build from scratch, and glow with purpose.

Every project I’ve launched, every collaboration I’ve built, and every woman I’ve connected with through Her GRRUV is a reflection of that rise. And now, with my first book on the way, I’m opening up like never before.

A Love Story in the Making

On May 24, 2023, I met a man who saw past the triggers, the trauma, the hurt.
He saw my soul.
His patience unlocked my softness. His leadership reminded me of God’s order.
From day one, I knew: this feels 1000% right.

To my future husband, my forever love —

This book is my letter to you.
You showed me what “Wife Energy” truly means.
You reminded me that submission is not weakness. It’s wisdom.
When he leads right, she follows with grace.
When he builds, she multiplies.
Together, we win.

To my daughters: you are my reason.

This is just the beginning.
And when you find your GRRUV? Nothing can stop you.

This book is more than a story — it’s my blueprint. A raw, personal journey from survival to healing.

From chaos to clarity. From heartbreak to Wife Energy.
